Grave Mercy
by R.L. LaFevers
reviewed by Ashely Wells, class of 2015
In short, this book is an amazing story about assassin nuns. In more a more detailed summary, this is the story of a girl named Ismae. Ismae is raised by a secret convent that carries out the work of the patron god of death. Through the story, She is sent on a mission that compromises everything she knows about the order and everything she believes in. It's a strong story that's more historical than fantasy. But be warned, this is a fairly long book. if you like medieval and fantasy books or just medieval books, this is your kind of story.
