Did you know there's an adorable public library right down the hill? It's across from the TJ Maxx, behind Penguins. It's a County of Los Angeles public library, so if you have a card there you can also use it at libraries all over the place, like San Gabriel and La Crescenta-Monstrose. It's an older library, so the YA collection isn't huge. It's a great place to just tuck in and study or read though. If you're looking for some new study scenery, I highly recommend it. For our boarding students, it would make an easy after-school outing. You could study there a while, then go get some frozen yogurt or a coffee, and then pop back up the hill in time for dinner. Oh, and APES students, all the landscaping on the grounds is California native!Wednesday, September 3, 2014
