Tolog Review: Paper Towns

Paper Towns
by John Green
reviewed by Margaret Gervais

Paper Towns is an intriguing novel full of mysteries and adventures that two seniors experience together. Quentin Jacobsen, a nerd, has been admiring Margo Roth Spiegelman, the most popular girl, from afar. They had been childhood friends until they started growing apart when high school started. Having her as a neighbor is starting to get hard for “Q” as he has just been waiting all this time to tell her how he feels before they go of to college. Just as he was trying to fall asleep one night he heard a noise and walked over to his window only to find Margo standing there dressed like a ninja. “Q” knew he was going to be up to no good that night, but he would do anything to spend time with Margo. She needed help with these tasks she was to finish before the morning was near. Knowing that college was just around the corner, “Q” had to be careful. She had to promise him there would absolutely no breaking and entering, so what she had said there will be breaking, there will be entering but there will never being breaking and entering. “Q” hoped the days at school would be different as they had bonded that night but he had been wrong. Like always, she had gone missing and her parents were finally fed up with it. “Q” told the investigator that she always leaves clues and if they cannot be found, she would come back soon. She soon is found and they both had just made it for their graduation.
